Berlin Cape Town Records is a label that was found by Sello Lawrence and Heidi Schirrmacher, out of the need to be self reliant, having the ability to determine one’s own destiny in terms of cultural existence and sustainability. We see this as the final step for any artist, to have control over ones work. “Of course it involves a lot of work, if you suddenly have to do everything yourself, but we are here to master those challenges. What you put in, is what you get out. Perhaps you don’t have to do everything yourself, somebody might be out there and would be glad to assist you or give you a helping hand”.

We deal with reggae, african music, we deal with jazz, and anything in between, but t has to be good. It has to be musical, it has to melodic, and it has to be  energetic.
